Tonight I was reading a book of nursery rhymes to by son. One of the nursery rhymes was “See Saw Margery Daw”, which may date back to the 17th century.
- See Saw Margery Daw,
- Jacky shall have a new master;
- Jacky shall earn but a penny a day,
- Because he can’t work any faster.
What is interesting about that nursery rhyme, in particular, is the last half. Jacky, it seems, hasn’t met the necessary performance criteria.
Now, the nursery rhyme apparantly began as an old work sung, sung by sawyers to keep rhythm. Regardless of the specifics, there really isn’t a lot of room for other meanings.
I find children’s rhymes and stories often have a great kind of simple insight into business and the world in general. If you know of any, drop me a line!
It is expected around half of sales will be settled via merchant facility. This is an estimate, as I have no current merchant facility.
Sales are generally between 2,000 to 10,000 per transaction, and there are relatively few (compared to, say, a retail store) – perhaps one per month, depending on closure rates. Does this present a problem?
I do not require the ability to accept details over the internet. I do not require a physical terminal. I have happy to use an online “terminal”, or a paper based voucher system.
If you believe this may fit your facility, can you please provide details of any monthly fees, in addition to any per transaction charges and so forth?
