It’s been an interesting time lately. Here in North Queensland we’ve had a couple of recent cyclones (the southern hemisphere equivalent of hurricanes), and it’s been a little hectic, although things are starting to get back to normal now.
Over the last couple of weeks a great deal of time has gone to preparing for, and recovering from the cyclone. Perhaps, though, nowhere near the amount of time spent procrastinating. You see, over the past couple of weeks, it’s just been easier for me to not work on business development.
It’s not that it’s difficult. It’s not even that it’s unpleasant. It’s simply been easier to move onto other things, and leave business development for another day. The problem is that the ideal time for business development is now, not tomorrow. Sometimes you just need to make yourself work on the things you’ve avoided for a while. Time for me to get to it!
